As the famous adage states, "Most companies do not plan to fail, they fail to plan". So much has been written about the importance of planning, yet so few companies perform effectively in this area. We believe there are three key reasons for this:  1. Internal resources frequently are not appropriately experienced in the planning process, 2. They bring their own biased opinions, and 3. The process is an intrusion to the core competency creating task interference. In addition, once a plan is in place, proper objective project management is required to complete the plan on time, and within budget. MVP designs and manages business planning. A business planning process review will focus on designing or redesigning internal strategic and tactical planning processes.
