A Sampling of our Projects and Assignments

  • For a venture that patented a solution with mass appeal to the teleservices industry, MVP developed, implemented and currently manages the national distribution strategy.
  • For a subsidiary of a Fortune 250 firm requiring both a rapid and turn key solution MVP designed, developed, implemented and currently manages a web based data collection, database management and reporting system for their clients use. MVP accomplished what had been thought to be a 12-month project in 90 days, at half the projected cost.
  • For a spin-off venture of an IT firm, MVP developed financial systems and assisted in raising capital for their wide area network and subscription computing offerings.
  • For a national trade association in the travel and leisure industry seeking to grow its member marketing efforts, MVP designed, developed and implemented several integrated e-marketing and other direct marketing strategies. Though originally positioned as a test, this effort generated profitable margins from day one.
  • A new entrant in to the Vacation Ownership industry needed to get a call center (144 seats) up and running in less than 90 days. MVP led the effort from plan creation to implementation of equipment and service requirements.
  • For a national trade association in the teleservices industry desiring to enhance its revenue opportunities for a national conference, MVP assumed the management role, more than doubling the prior year's results in both sponsorships and attendees within a 60-day window from stop to start.
  • For a venture capital firm, MVP supplemented and managed their own analysts in the evaluation and capital structure recommendations for a robotics company being taken public.
  • For a Swiss based venture firm, MVP evaluated the cost and other operating structures of one of their US call center holdings that was generating losses well in excess of plan. Costs were trimmed by over 50% in the first 12 months.
  • For a major national political party MVP was contracted in March of 2000 to develop, implement and manage a private commerce exchange. In order to implement this client's objectives, MVP designed and maintained the web site upon which the private exchange resides. Additionally, MVP negotiated and managed relationships with national vendor partners whose goods and services were offered via the private exchange.

 

Market Research

  • Prior to joining the MVP family and integrating as MVP Strategic Research Services, DataVision International conducted an in-depth market research study to assess market receptivity for a web-based research and development software tool used in new product development. The study identified the potential market size and the likelihood of respondents to upgrade/purchase a real-time products testing and measurement system. Armed with information from the study, the client was able to launch its product into profitable market segments. The average sale for the client is currently a quarter million dollars and the new product has become the company's new flagship product.
  • A leading Midwest architectural firm desired to learn how it was positioned against its competitors in the marketplace. DataVision International performed external and internal research with existing customers, non-customers, associates, industry experts and influencers, and competitors. The analysis contrasted and blended data from the various respondent segments to examine brand awareness and identity, competitor infiltration and vulnerabilities, respondent selection criteria and processes in appointing an architectural firm, and how respondents prefer to receive information regarding architectural services. The result was the firm's consolidation of its studio concept and a streamlining of marketing and sales initiatives.
  • A series of market research studies were administered for a Managing General Underwriter (MGU) which underwrites stop-loss insurance for self-insured companies. These studies resulted in a complete overhaul of the company's database tracking procedures and new programs to position the company as more "customer-friendly."
